Disadvantages

Companies rarely prefer online degree – When it comes to getting placed after pursuing a management degree, the student’s dream is to get placed in a good company. But the bitter truth is that the companies prefer offline Management students over online management students.

No assurance of placements – Most of the management colleges assure placement to the students, but that is not the case with online management colleges. Online colleges don’t assure any placement to the students and this makes online management degree option an unsafe option.

Lack of motivation – This a major disadvantage of pursuing an online management degree. Unlike in a normal classroom scenario, there is no one to motivate the student and he/she has to rely on self motivation only. In case he/she lacks self-motivation then it is a cause for concern and chances are that this may affect his/her studies.

Technical problems – As the course is online, there are chances that the student may face technical problems while attending classes. This makes the student frustrated and his/her link to study is disturbed. This is a disadvantage of online management degree.

Makes student lazy – Online degrees fails to impart a quality, which is important for management students. It makes students lazy and less proactive. Students are aware that they can attend the classes at any time of the day and get their doubts cleared 24 x 7. So this makes them lazy which is not a healthy quality for the future of corporate world.
