Foot pain can be because of some obvious causes, such as corns, callus, ingrown toenail, or fungal infection. The discomfort can even stem from simply wearing tight or poor fitting shoes. Check out these easy remedies to soothe the foot pain.

Hydrotherapy
To treat the sore feet, fill one basin with cold water and another with water as hot as your feet can bear. Sit on a chair and place your feet in the basin or container filled with cold water.

Switch to the hot water container after 5 minutes. This is called as “Hydrotherapy” and gives a refreshing and stimulating treatment to the aching feet. What Hydrotherapy does is that it alternately dilates and constricts blood vessels in your feet and helps on boosting the circulation. Soaking your feet in a warm-water-foot-bath that is spiked with as little as half ounce of Arnica tincture will also help in improved blood flow almost resulting in instant pain relief.

Foot massages to sooth away that pain
There are rollers available that are specially designed to massage the soles of the feet. You can usually find them in health stores. If you cannot find rollers, look for tennis balls. You can simply roll your bare feet for several minutes over a tennis ball or golf ball or any such hard spherical or cylindrical that fits perfectly under the arch of your foot. You can also make a stimulating massage oil to soothe foot pain. Combine a couple of drops of clove oil with 2 to 3 tablespoons of sesame oil. Mix and warm up the oil a bit and massage the oil on your aching feet. Shoe inserts or orthotics help relieve foot pain that are usually caused by flat feet or fallen arches. Shoe inserts are easily available at medical stores or you can also buy them from a podiatrist.

Do some foot workout
General inactivity can also cause foot pain due to decreased blood circulation in the feet. A bit of foot workout can help relieve foot pain. Try wrapping a thick rubber around all the toes of your foot. Spread your toes and hold the stretch and release. Repeat this for at least ten times until you feel relieved from the cramp.

Soothing heel pain
Heel pain may signal plantar fasciitis. It causes the inflammation of the heel. Formal stretching of the foot for a couple of minutes daily can help ease the heel pain. Place your hands on the wall and move your left leg forward, knee bent. Keep your right leg straight with hell on the floor to feel a gentle stretch in your heel and foot arch.
