The Post 9/11 G.I. Bill
This bill was passed for the benefits of service personnel who took up active duty after the unfolding of the September 2001 attacks. The 9/11 G.I. Bill offers financial assistance of 36 months to veterans after enrolling for a course in a university, accredited college or technical school. For the individuals who are admitted to a public college or university, the initiative will cover expenses such as full tuition, books, and housing. If the veteran is opting for a private university, they’ll have to sign up for the Yellow Ribbon Program for additional benefits. To be eligible for these federal grants for college, the military veterans should have enlisted within 90 days of 9/11.
